Offers rolling in as Ellis explodes on camp scene
Washington (D.C.) Dunbar defensive tackle Reggie Ellis (6-foot-2, 278 pounds, 4.92 seconds) has been one of the most impressive players in the nation on the camp scene in recent weeks. After taking home MVP Honors at the ELITE Combine in New Jersey, Ellis was named MVP for his position at the NIKE Camp at State College. Heading into to last week, Ellis held six offers. But that number has now doubled.
"I had two great showings. It has paid off in terms of the schools showing interest and offering me," said Ellis. "I was injured for much of last year and knew I was capable of more. I guess coaches didn't take me at my word when they viewed my film. Now they are seeing me and saying that I look like a totally different player. I haven't changed, I am just healthy."
