Top Arkansas prospect names top five
One of the trademarks of Mike Leach's tenure at Texas Tech has been his willingness to look outside of Texas when recruiting players. With so many talented high school prospects inside the state, conventional thought has long held that Texas schools should exclusively recruit players from the Lone Star State. But with out of state schools seemingly raiding Texas schools more and more in recent memory, Leach and the Red Raiders have turned their eyes elsewhere.
Arkansas, normally an SEC hotbed, is now home to five prospects who have received offers from Texas Tech. One of those five, De'Anthony Curtis, is being touted by some as the best running back to come out of Arkansas since Darren McFadden.
Interestingly enough, Curtis says even though he grew up in Arkansas, he was a fan of another SEC team. He has offers from Texas Tech, Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Ole Miss, Clemson, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State and others.
