Wallace's stock is on the rise
When the evaluation period started and May rolled around, offensive tackle Andrew Wallace from Olympic High in Charlotte was not a well-known recruit. That has all changed.
"Miami, Illinois, Buffalo have offered and Maryland said they were going to offer me pretty soon," Wallace told The Wolfpacker. "It's coming out of nowhere. I went all this time without an offer and then got three within two weeks."
There is a reason for that however.
"That's when my tape just got out just then and the coaches were impressed with it so the offers started coming," Wallace noted.
Wallace, 6-foot-6, 260 pounds, did well at the Shrine Bowl Combine held at Butler High in Matthews, N.C., March 31. He had a 4.82-second 40-time, 4.87-shuttle and 24.1-inch vertical leap. Wallace did 14 bench press reps.
