Time for Tyler
Less than two weeks ago, he started running for the first time since a brutal injury.
Less than two weeks from now, he will graduate from high school.
And less than two months from now, Westlake Village Oaks Christian running back Marc Tyler expects to be in the middle of USC's wide open tailback derby.
"I know most of the guys. I feel like I know the system a little bit," Tyler said. "It's going to be fun."
Last November, it seemed unlikely that the No. 17 overall prospect in the Rivals100 would be readying himself to compete for time in the Trojans backfield. Tyler suffered a broken leg in the fist round of the CIF Southern Section playoffs, requiring surgery and ending his high school career.
Less than six months later, he was working out in front of USC Coach Pete Carroll and Offensive Coordinator Steve Sarkisian.
