2009 DE enjoys trip to UT camp
While the big news for fans of the Texas Longhorns football program this weekend was the addition of Klein (Texas) Oak athlete DeSean Hales to the 2008 commitment list, perhaps an even bigger storyline that seems to be emerging is the amount of top-flight prospects from the Class of 2009 that have been in Austin in the last week.
From Russell Shepard to Garrett Gilbert to Chris Whaley to Christian Michael - the star power from the underclassmen at this year's camps has been through the roof.
Another impressive name that you can add to the list from that Class of 2009 is Pflugerville, Texas defensive end Alex Okafor.
The 6-4, 216-pound Okafor was a standout at the Ft. Worth Nike Camp this spring and during the month of May, Okafor was a hot name for coaches making the rounds in Central Texas.
