Bowden Camp was tops for four-star Mattes
It was a big day in Clemson for one of the nation's top offensive tackle prospects. Concord (NC) Robinson trenchman R.J. Mattes showed up for the Tommy Bowden Football Camp and did not disappoint.
The 6-foot-6, 260-pounder literally went up against some of the nation's premiere defensive front men, as he battled four-star rated A.J. Harmon of Louisville (Ga.) Jefferson County, four-star tackle Brandon Thompson of Thomasville (Ga.) and Union two-way lineman Sam Hammond, an all-state hopeful.
While on campus the Tar Heel State tackle also hung out with two notable targets the Clemson coaching staff is currently evaluating, Aynor offensive guard T.J. Johnson and Charlotte (NC) Olympic tackle Andrew Wallace.
