HawgSports.com Rogers tight end Jake Byrne was probably the top tight end participating in the Shootout of the South 7-on-7 Tournament in Little Rock (Ark.) on Friday and Saturday.
Byrne, 6-foot-5, 240 pounds, 4.6 seconds in the 40-yard dash, caught 30 passes for 300 yards for the Mounties last season as the team went undefeated until a loss in the state 7A championship game against Fort Smith Southside.
