Another visit to Tucson for Tevita Finau
In 2004, lightly recruited Kahuku (Hawaii) tight end Tevita Finau signed an LOI to play football for Oregon State. Instead of going to Corvallis, he spent a couple of years in Maui playing rugby.
It didn't take long for Finau to give up rugby to once again concentrate on football, and it appears that he made a good decision. Finau left Hawaii for Phoenix Community College, where he greyshirted in 2006, and there are now several big time colleges going hard after him to play defensive end.
The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Finau, who will have four years to play three, has offers from schools such as Arizona, USC, Florida, Arizona State, Nebraska, West Virginia, Cal, Kansas State, and Oregon State, among others.
