Cottrill puts on love fest at Jam Fest
MORGANTOWN--Fifteen-year-old Noah Cottrill has become so good against his age group that he can dictate the course of a game.
Not just his game, but a game.
Playing against a 16-and-under opponent Saturday in the first round of the Summer Jam Fest at Trinity High School, the 6-foot-1 2010 West Virginia basketball commit scored just seven points, but he handed out eight assists.
Mind you, in this tournament coaches are requested to play two completely different "strings" of players every other quarter, so Noah was on the court for less than half the game.
Swoosh coach Bobby Dodson told Cottrill, a rising sophomore at Poca High, "'Man, not everybody has seen you play like that. Go out and show them something different.' So I went out there and showed them something different," said Morgantown's young man of the hour.
