Freshman's Future Looks Bright
It certainly is unusual to talk about freshman hoop stars when you consider what the typical 14-year-old teenager is up to during summer break. While most kids are busy playing video games and spending their afternoons at the local pool, incoming freshman Anthony Wroten Jr. is making waves across the nation for his hoop prowess.
We caught up with Wroten as his Rotary Select team was preparing to play its first game at the Adidas Super64 in Las Vegas.
Playing on Rotary's top team all season, the 6-foot-3 point-guard commented on the increased level of competition and team chemistry. "It's been very good playing with the top team. I've been playing with a lot of my teammates for a while so I knew I could compete at this level," said Wroten who went on to discuss his close relationships with Peyton Siva and DeAndre Taylor, "We get along on and off the court.
