Davis staying positive about prep school
When freshmen officially report to Auburn Wednesday, one face will be noticeably absent.
The Tigers' top signeee in the 2007 class, four-star RB Enrique Davis, won't be there.
The 5-foot-11, 212-pound former Rivals100 back will instead be packing his bags preparing to report to Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va. Aug. 13.
Davis, ranked the No. 3 running back and No. 30 overall prospect in the 2007 class by Rivals.com, failed to make the necessary test score to qualify.
He'll head to Hargrave hoping to change that.
"All I need is two more points on my ACT and I should be straight," said Davis.
Davis will be joined at Hargrave by at least two other Auburn signees, OL Jermaine Johnson and DL Tim Lamb. Davis said he and Lamb will be roommates.
