When USC recruits linemen, versatility is an important characteristic to possess. Last year USC signed two players near Signing Day who certainly had that quality; Trey Henderson, and Christian Tupou. This recruiting year has been no different for USC, and their latest commitment Armond Armstead from Elk Grove (Calif.) proves it.

At 6-foot-5, 290-pounds, Armstead definitely has the size you're looking for in a lineman. Now the question is which side of the football do you play him on? Armstead's athletic ability comes without question. As a varsity basketball player, Armstead averaged over 10 points and nearly seven rebounds per game.
