Thomas down to three
Mobile (Ala.) Murphy High School three-star linebacker Jacoby Thomas, one of the most productive defensive players in the Yellowhammer State last season, has narrowed the list of schools he's considering to three.
"I've got it down to Alabama, South Carolina and Purdue," the 6-foot, 220-pound Thomas said. "I finally narrowed it down."
South Carolina landed cornerback Captain Munnerlyn two years ago from Thomas' school, and they're hoping to do the same with Thomas.
"The big thing about them is their losing three senior linebackers, so I know I'd have a chance for some early playing time if I came in there and worked hard," he said. "I think they're an up and coming team, too. I'm going to setup a visit with them, probably during the season."
Thomas, who bench presses 395 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds, camped at Alabama this summer and enjoyed himself.
