Prater explains his decision
Linebacker Kyle Prater committed to LSU a couple of days ago and the 6-foot-2, 215 pound prospect from Kerrville (Tex.) Tivy spoke with TigerBait.com on Thursday to explain his decision.
"After visiting LSU, Oklahoma and Nebraska, and talking things over with my parents and high school coaches I committed to LSU," Prater explained. "I reached my decision late Sunday night and contacted Coach Peveto. After we talked we set up a time Monday morning for me to call back to confirm my commmitment with Coach Miles and Coach Pelini, and I've been talking with the coaches every day this week."
In all more than forty schools expressed an interest in Prater. Before committing to LSU he received offers from Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Rice and Purdue. So why did he feel LSU was the right place for him?
