Weather delay doesn't dampen spirits

But, that's just what Martin and the Golden Flashes faced midway through the first of 26 pre-season practice sessions. The team returned to the field after the delay, but 15 minutes later they hurried back into the locker room when the weather forced an early end to the opening practice.
"We would have liked to get a lot more done," Martin said. "We got all the individual stuff done; we just didn't get much of our passing or team things in. You'd rather miss a day in helmets than a day in pads anyway, so this was more just alignment and assignment practices anyway right now. It wasn't bad; we got a lot of retention and a lot of experience out there."
