Wednesday sights and sounds from Tontozona
There were many interesting moments during Arizona State's first Camp Tontozona workout of the year. Here is a recap of some of the highlights. After breaking from team stretches, the offensive linemen conveniently retreated to the only end-zone (west) covered in shade. The starters up front distinguished themselves by wearing stickers randomly placed on their helmets. Senior left tackle Brandon Rodd said they did it to start something new. The stickers varied as each player showed their individual style. Rodd's stickers reflected his Hawaiian culture, while senior center Mike Pollak's were some of his favorite bands. As leaders of the group, Rodd and Pollack were vocal in helping their younger back-ups line up correctly and use proper footwork.
