Good signs on the injury front
Another day of double sessions in the books and the UCLA Bruins keep rolling along through one of their finest camps in recent memory. Even though fatigue and soreness is setting in this team through their veteran leadership is moving forward at a good pace. All facets of the game have been worked on and are showing improvement.
Coach Karl Dorrell was upbeat again after the evening session as he met with the media.
Dorrell: "We did some good drill work today and I like how we are learning how to practice no pads. That's really important. We did some good special teams work. Again we always want to emphasize some something with our offense and defense, a little seven on seven and team then a little two minute drill.
"The two minute looked a lot better. The offense made some first downs and made some opportunities to put some points on the board so that's progressing from the first time so we will continue to do that on every two-a-day. We will finish up with that and get a lot of good reps with that.
"It was a great effort that's what I like. Guys are competing and guys are trying to make plays.
