Richt addresses the media
Most college football coaches would be a little bit anxious knowing that as many as 20 freshmen could see considerable playing time.
Not Georgia coach Mark Richt.
Richt said during Tuesday's press conference at Stegeman Coliseum that the freshmen who do play, will do so because they earned the opportunity, not because the Bulldogs have to play them.
"It concerns me a little bit, but I've liked the way they practice," Richt said. "We've got some very talented young men who have worked very hard."
Senior tailback Kregg Lumpkin can vouch for that.
"I'm real excited to see how they come in and are ready to play," Lumpkin said. "It's going to be exciting to watch."
Richt sees few drawbacks with a playing a lot of youngsters at all.
