Moeaki headed for more significant role
They came in together back in 2005 as highly rated recruits and now the pass throwing and catching duo of Jake Christensen and Tony Moeaki get to take over in starting roles for the Hawkeyes. The Chicago natives have built up a strong chemistry as friends on and off the field and now they head home hoping to lead Iowa to victory. Moeaki talks about his relationship with Christensen, what he needs to improve on this season, plus much more.
Q: Growing up in Chicago, are you a Bears fan?
MOEAKI: Yep, I grew up a Bears fan all my life. I have only been to Soldier Field a couple of times, but I am excited to go there this weekend.
Q: What is it going to be like to play there this weekend?
MOEAKI: It is going to be unbelievable. There is a lot of history in that stadium with the Bears, so it will be fun to play there.
Q: Do you have to get a lot of tickets?
MOEAKI: (laugh) Yeah, I am trying, but it is not looking too good.
