Cats trying to get Golden back to Lexington
One of the most intriguing basketball prospects to emerge on Kentucky's recruiting board this summer also happened to be one of the youngest.
Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern guard Trae Golden made a name for himself from coast to coast with his play on the AAU and camp circuit, leaving many observers shocked that such a dynamic and physical player was only about to enter his sophomore season.
Kentucky was one of the first major programs to offer Golden (6-1, 190) a scholarship, but the list has grown considerably over the summer.
"Trae now has offers from Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Louisville and Clemson," McEachern coach Nick Chaykowski said.
