Auburn QB commit takes in first game
Columbus (Ga.) Carver QB Deron Furr committed to Auburn in the summer after researching the Tigers as much as possible.
He camped on the Plains, toured the facilities, saw the campus, talked with academic and athletic personnel, and made his decision.
There was just one thing missing, though. He'd yet to attend a game inside Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Last weekend, the 6-foot-3, 220-pounder changed that when he, younger brother LeRon and teammate and top WR target Jarmon Fortson all made the trip to Auburn for the Tigers' game against South Florida.
"I liked it. I had seen some Auburn games on TV, but I hadn't ever been to one. That was my first one and it was great," said Furr.
