Monday Insider: O-Line can improve upon dominance
It's not a matter of maintaining. It's a matter of improving.
If USC's offensive line were to take Saturday's performance at Nebraska and make 11 carbon copies, the Trojans would be celebrating in New Orleans come January.
But the linemen are looking for more.
"After you do something like that, you actually want to come out and get better and see how far you can take it," left tackle Sam Baker said.
USC's front dominated Nebraska, rushing for 313 yards while keeping the Cornhuskers sack-less, in the Trojans' 49-31 victory.
"People are going to expect to see that every game now," right tackle Drew Radovich said. "It's a great challenge for us to go out and perform like that every time."
Baker and Radovich said they do not believe they played particularly well on Saturday. No glaring deficiencies, just some plays that called for sharper execution.
