Top prep OL working to get to Auburn

Two years ago, Jermaine Johnson never thought he'd be playing football after high school.

"I thought I'd be working, flipping burgers or something," he said.

Instead, the 6-foot-6, 330-pounder is the top-rated prep-school offensive line prospect and No. 4 overall prep-school recruit in the nation, according to Rivals.com.

And that's after playing just a little more than one year of football.

Johnson didn't play high school football until his senior season.

He'd hoped he wouldn't have to.

"I played basketball for five years and traveled around the U.S. trying to get looked at by colleges," he said. "I thought basketball was what I'd be playing."
