Taylor May Be Coming Back
Running back Jaycen Taylor, out with a broken arm sustained against Central Michigan, returned to the practice field Sunday, obviously in a limited capacity.
Tiller said that it's likely Purdue will look to play Taylor again this season once he's ready, rather than redshirt him.
"I think we'd like to have him back," Tiller said, "and we'd like to play him."
A Special Outing
Lost in the talk about Purdue's offense and defense was as strong a special teams game as the Boilermakers have played in some time.
Purdue made all four of its field goals. Previously struggling punter Jared Armstrong had his best game to date, averaging 42.3 yards on three attempts, with Stanford Keglar downing one of them at the Irish 2. Alex Magee blocked a field goal.
