Extra Points: Lopsided loss
Usually after a football Saturday, it's difficult to get a grasp on the feel of an entire game.
After the Rebels' 44-8 loss to Arkansas at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium Saturday, the Ole Miss players and coaches used one word to describe it - flat.
Ole Miss head coach Ed Orgeron said he sensed it Friday night in Tupelo, where he didn't see the same fire.
Fans talked about seeing it during the Walk of Champions, and everybody saw it when Arkansas marched to touchdowns on the Razorbacks' first three possessions of the game, giving them more than enough cushion.
"I thought we were a little flat before the game," Orgeron said. "I was a little worried. We did the best job all week to prepare, but obviously we didn't."
Maybe it was a hangover from the Alabama game; maybe it was running into a terrible matchup with the Arkansas backfield. Maybe it was both.
Regardless, it definitely wasn't all that noteworthy.
