Dalton opens up
Blue Springs South QB Blaine Dalton has enjoyed his fair share of success since becoming the starting quarterback. After winning the state title last year, Dalton and his teammates were hoping for the same result this year and so far are on the right track.
Dalton said that after winning a state title, you often expect people to be a bit complacent, but that hasn't been the case for South. While they're still working to take one game at a time, Dalton added he can see the confidence continue to grow in his team.
For Dalton and his teammates, the goal for the year was to win another state title, but as Dalton pointed out, it was a process. He said he wanted to get the first steps out of the way first and then worry about the final goal. He also understood the buzz around their November 2 game against Rockhurst and one of his good friends, Nathan Scheelhaase.
