On The Line: The leader of the KU defensive line is senior tackle James McClinton (6-1, 283). An All-Big 12 honorable mention selection in 2006, McClinton's recorded 33 tackles in 2007, including 9.5 behind the line of scrimmage. He also has 2.5 sacks and an interception to his credit. Sophomore Caleb Blakesley (6-5, 290) occupies the other tackle position where he's recorded 10 tackles and a pass break-up. Senior defensive end John Larson (6-3, 250) has 29 tackles, including 7.5 behind the line of scrimmage, along with an interception and fumble recovery. He's made at least four tackles in five games this season. Junior Russell Brorsen (6-4, 240) lines up at the opposite end. He's recorded 18 tackles, a half-sack, an interception and three pass break-ups.
