DE picks up UT offer
Defensive end Josh Williams committed to Nebraska back in July, but he's kept the lines of communication open with other coaching staffs over the past several months. Now, with some uncertainty surrounding the Husker coaching staff, other schools around the country are picking up their interest in the Denton Ryan product.
One school that's been in touch with Williams for a while is the Texas Longhorns, and the Texas coaching staff recently upped the ante. The Longhorn staff notified Ryan head coach Joey Florence that they were presenting a formal scholarship offer, and assistant coach Bobby Kennedy called Williams himself to extend the invite.
While he still considers himself a Nebraska commit, the 6-foot-4, 220-pound Williams is keeping an open mind and he'll likely take a handful of official visits when his team's season concludes.
