Johnson counting down the days until he's a Horn

Orangebloods.com There was a time last spring when Nederland linebacker Dravannti Johnson dominated the recruiting headlines. The blue-chip playmaker first committed to Texas A&M in February and then made waves two months later when he switched his pledge to the Texas Longhorns.
Since then, things have been pretty quiet for the 6-foot-2, 230-pounder, and that's just the way he likes it. Johnson, who remains rock solid with his commitment to Texas, no longer pays attention to which schools are recruiting him, and as far as he's concerned, the mail from prospective colleges has completely stopped.
Instead of recruiting, Johnson is focused on Nederland's current season, and the team is facing its biggest challenge yet on Friday. The Bulldogs are 7-2 overall, 4-2 in district play, yet they trail three other teams in the District 22-4A standings. This week, Nederland plays Lumberton, with the winner securing a playoff berth.
