Talented in-state 2009 QB made it to Athens
An in-state left handed dual threat junior quarterback that has already hit the radar visited Athens on Saturday. Michael Tamburo of North Gwinnett in Suwanee made his second trip to Georgia this fall and this experience was a little different than the first one.
"I loved how Georgia came out in the black jerseys and the coaches changed things up a bit," said Tamburo. "Our coaches will do that sometimes and I like a change. I think it is cool and Georgia looked great in black. I think they should wear them again."
The Blackout was something Georgia was going for against Auburn and they got it. The fans showed up in black, the team wore black and the Dawgs put on a show against the Tigers. The junior quarterback liked what he saw.
"This visit was a lot different than before (Western Carolina game) and I expected that because of who they were playing. The atmosphere was good before, but it was so much louder, the crowd was more into the game and I think the Blackout made the difference."
"The game with Auburn was awesome and it is what SEC football is all about. The team played great, the crowd was into it, the coaches were focused and it was just an awesome atmosphere. I just can't see a better place to play SEC football."
