Prospects play under the lights
Each week the Pantherlair takes a quick look at high school players that Pitt is recruiting, reporting on how they did this past weekend on how their teams are performing.
Wilmington Area won a first round playoff game by beating Fort LeBoeuf (5-5) 44-6. Fort LeBoeuf scored first after Pitt commit Chris Burns muffed a punt to set up a score. After that the Greyhounds were off to the races with 44 unanswered points. Chris Burns burst for a game-high 18-carry, 121-yard, 2-TD rushing performance, while his younger brother Derrick delivered hundred on the ground on only 9 carries, including 44-yard and 24-yard touchdown sprints. Wilmington (10-1) will now face Fairview (8-2), a 35-7 winner over Greenville, in next weekend's AA district semifinals at a site and time to be announced.
