Burgess excited about upcoming visit
Growing up in the south, Georgia Military defensive tackle Leroy Burgess grew up loving one conference, the SEC.
Burgess may now get the opportunity to play in the conference he watched as a youngster, with Ole Miss extending an official offer.
"I will be going to Ole Miss this weekend," Burgess said Monday. "The Rebels are definitely in my top three and could rise after this weekend."
Burgess, a 6-foot-1, 295-pound athlete that runs a 4.9 forty, played his high school football at Ridgeview High School before attending Georgia Military Junior College due to academic reasons.
Burgess will graduate in December and have three years to play two seasons at the Division 1 level.
"What I like about Ole Miss is that they have a need on the defensive front," Burgess said. "I would have the chance to come in and make an immediate impact."
Burgess currently has offers from the Rebels along with official offers from North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Troy State.
