Miami wideout sets official visit with Cats
The search for another impact receiver for the 2008 recruiting class continues for Coach Rich Brooks' Kentucky football team. And after the success this season of Derrick Locke, the Cats will be happy to look for a two-sport star to add to the list.
Miami (FL) Southridge High standout Eric Adeyemi has officially ended his football season, and now will prepare for the track season, beginning in January. The Spartan football squad ended the 2007 campaign at 4-6, but Adeyemi's stats were impressive for a team that throws the football less than 40 percent of the time.
"I had 36 catches, 540 yards, and five touchdowns receiving," he said. "I even had a couple of touchdowns rushing the football. They used me in the rushing game some."
Adeyemi, a potential deep threat in the UK offense, was timed this summer at a legitimate 4.4 in the 40-yard dash.
