Ruhland ready for the next level

SpartanMag.com Ethan Ruhland of Lake Orion High School was one of the early commitments to the Michigan State class of 2008. The 6-foot-5, 265-pound offense line prospect came up to teh Senior Elite Camp, and after a strong performance was offered a scholarship by Coach Dantonio. This fall Ruhland showed a lot of opposing teams in the Oakland Activities Association why the Spartans are looking forward to having him on campus.
Lake Orion stated off the season 1-2. At that point in time a lot of people stared to question of the Dragons were going have a very good season. From that point on Head Coach Chris Bell decided it was tome to get back to fundamentals and they ran off 5 straight wins. The Dragons ended up 8-4 and had an impressive playoff run before losing a hard fought contest to powerful Macomb Dakota High School in the regional final.
For his effort this fall, Ruhland was named All-League and 1st team All-Metro North by the Detroit News.
Ruhland was a frequent visitor to East Lansing this fall, checking out several games.
