Jordan set to visit UA
Brentwood Academy (Tenn.) athlete Chris Jordan has been heavily recruited by most of the top programs in the South but has narrowed his list down to three final choices. This weekend, Jordan will take his official to Alabama giving the Tide a crucial opportunity to make a big impression on the versatile 6-foot-2, 200-pound athlete.
"This week I'm going to Alabama and that will be my final visit. I already took trips to Clemson and Kentucky. Those three are my final schools. I'm not looking at anyone else," Jordan said. "My plans are to visit Alabama, sit down with my parents and decide before Christmas. If I can't do that I'll wait until January because I don't want to do it during the holidays. But I hope to have a decision before then."
"Going into Alabama I'm keeping an open mind. I don't want to compare them until I return home and have given them all the same opportunity."
The Crimson Tide have long stood out to Jordan, who could project on either side of the ball in college, and this weekend's visit will provide an opportunity for Jordan to get a better feel for what college life would be like at the Capstone.
"I've liked Alabama since they offered. Mostly what I know about them is the history and tradition. I went there for a game this year and I was impressed with the fans and atmosphere. I know they struggled this season but I think they expected to," Jordan said. "My official visit will be more of an opportunity for me to look around and see the campus and learn more about the academics. I don't know much about either yet. Also, it's a chance for me to talk with coaches and see how they plan to use me and where I fit in with their future plans."
Jordan is coming fresh off a trip to Kentucky that made a big impression on the Rivals250 member.
"Kentucky was a good visit. I enjoyed meeting their coaches and learning about their program," Jordan said. "They want to use me as a power back and I liked hearing that. There facilities were nice and so was the town. I would say it was a good trip overall and I learned a lot about them."
