Shultz torn between five
With less than a month remaining until National Signing Day defensive end Logan Shultz of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania is torn between five schools. He has a couple of visits scheduled for the near future. Where might he end up?
The 6-foot-2, 259-pound lineman runs the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds and has been exceptionally productive during his high school football years.
"I've got it down to UConn, West Virginia, Clemson, Pitt and Penn State," Shultz said. "I'm taking a visit to UConn next weekend (January 18) then I'll probably take on to Pitt during the week. I'll take a visit to West Virginia before I stop traveling.
Shultz went on to describe what he likes about each of his favorites.
"UConn -- I like where the program's going. They're trying to get to where I want (them) to go. I really like (defensive line) coach Hughes. They're up and coming and I think they'll be up there in a couple of years.
"Penn State -- Coach Johnson, their defensive line coach. I like him a lot. He's been working me since I was in seventh grade over the summers.
"With Clemson, I like the atmosphere. I have some family ties down there as well. Some of my cousins go to school at Clemson.
"Pitt is nice and they're pretty close to home. I like the coaching staff and I'm close to them. They make me feel comfortable.
"West Virginia -- it's just crazy down there. I've been there and the game atmosphere is just great."
Shultz, rated the No. 37 prospect in Pennsylvania, does not have a decision date set.
