Three-star athlete gives Duke high marks
Acworth (Ga.) North Cobb High athlete Matt Roark had long been uninterested in the Duke football program, that is until David Cutcliffe took over the reigns and revived national interest in the Blue Devils. Over the weekend, the 6-foot-6, 190 pounder officially visited the Durham-based school and walked away with some good things to say about the trip.
"It went well. It was a good trip," Roark said. "I really liked it. I think I would rate it an eight on a 1-to-10 scale. It was kind of the exact opposite of what I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be a bunch of nerds, but it wasn't like that. Everyone there was intelligent, but they were just really cool, regular guys.
"My host was Jeremy Ringfield and he was a really good guy. We hung out and watched football and went to this girl's birthday party. We just had fun."
