Rutgers 2008: Breaking down the quarterbacks
The 2007 season is over, however it's not too early to look to the future. Spring practice is right around the corner and shortly after that the Scarlet Knights will be on the heels of another training camp. Here's a look back - and forward - at the quarterback position.
A Look Back
Mike Teel nursed a nagging thumb injury that hindered him throughout the 2007 season. He showed a lot of toughness, playing through the pain and emerging as a leader in his junior year. When he was healthy, Teel displayed great accuracy and enabled the Scarlet Knights to put a lot of points on the board. It was unfortunate that Teel wasn't 100 percent all season because a couple of losses might have turned into wins. At the beginning of the season, many questioned whether Teel could build on his '06 performance. Against Louisville and Ball State he looked as though he returned to early season form, proving that he is capable of putting up big numbers.
