Oku says trip to Norman goes well
One of the most intriguing stories in Norman this weekend was potentially the first five-star from Oklahoma in three years, Midwest City Carl Albert running back David Oku. The 5-foot-8, 180-pound back from the East side of Oklahoma City had been hot and cold with his interest in Oklahoma but decided to take in Norman again on Saturday.
After some rough patches that Oku admits were at least somewhat self-inflicted he says things were as good between him and the Oklahoma coaching staff as they have been in quite some time.
"Everything was cool, nothing was wrong. Bob Stoops and Cale Gundy both talked to me about don't have any enemies. They were just saying that everyone has to make mistakes and to try and learn from it and move on, basically," Oku explained. "Everything was good man. It really was just the same old, same old. It really wasn't that much new. It wasn't anything new to look at."
