Oklahoma lands it's second 2009 commit
Josh McCuistion
SoonerScoop.com In Oklahoma's battle of recruiting Texas they are often fighting the battle of Texas, A&M, and Texas Tech alums, and even occasionally former players, coaching in the high school ranks. In the new high school of Mansfield Legacy the Sooners have a former player of their own to help their recruiting efforts. And it's undeniable that Chris Melson's affiliation with Oklahoma, and in particular his relationship with the Sooner coaching staff helped them gain their most recent commitment.

"Yes sir, just this afternoon he committed o Oklahoma," Melson said of the previously unknown 6-foot-4, 210-pound pass rusher.
