USF on top early for Robinson
Lauderhill (Fla.) Plantation athlete Josh Robinson can do it all on the football field and now his offer list is beginning to reflect that. After spending his sophomore season at cornerback and his junior season at wide receiver, he has picked up four offers early as a college defensive back.
"So far my main offer and my first one is from USF," Robinson said. "They have a major interest in me as a cornerback. I've spoken to Coach Scott on numerous occasions and they've been writing me a lot as well. I also have offers from Indiana, South Carolina and Kentucky."
Robinson hopes to get to campus of several of the schools that have offered him.
"South Florida, I plan on visiting there," he said. "South Carolina as well. I want to take a visit there and I'm going to look at Indiana and Kentucky and see what they have to offer as far as academics and the program."
Despite all of the interest he is already getting, there are two schools that Robinson would like to hear from.
"University of Miami and University of Florida, those are the schools I've always loved," he said. "Miami, that's always been my favorite team. They haven't shown me much interest but that's why I like South Florida."
For Robinson, the recruiting process may end sooner rather than later.
"More than likely, I'm gonna try to get it over with before the football season starts again," he said. "I've got a pretty good idea of where I want to go."
Clearly the school that interests Robinson the most at this point is USF. What has the Bulls high on his list?
"The environment. I like how they had two great corners go to the draft this year. I think they can produce great corners to go to the NFL which is my goal."
As a player Robinson also provides much more than versatility.
"I think I have great vision," said Robinson who runs the 100 meters in 10.52. "I'm not afraid to make plays. I try to make a play on every ball. I like to hit and I have great speed."
