Kyle Long stretched out Wednesday afternoon in the Dick Howser Stadium stands. And for a 6-foot-7, 275-pound baseball player, that's a lot of stretching.



He joined his teammates from St. Anne's-Belfield School in Charlottesville, Va., in playing some preseason games in Jacksonville and taking in the conclusion of the Florida State baseball team's rain-delayed game against Georgia. In doing so, he took in a glimpse of his future.



A year from now, he plans on playing on the Howser Stadium grass rather than sitting in the stands.
