Junaid garnering attention from all over
Hightower High School in the suburbs of Houston is known for producing skill position players. In fact, the school had four wide receiver sign with Division I colleges this past February - Clyde Lee with Boston College, Martin Bayless with Northwestern and Isiah Sweeney with Houston.
It should come as no surprise, then, that the Hurricanes are home to one of the top safeties in the city in the class of 2009. Dele Junaid has yet to receive an official scholarship offer, but that doesn't mean colleges are unaware of him.
"I don't have any offers yet, not that I know of at least," said the 6-foot-2, 177 pound junior. "I'm hearing a lot from Oklahoma State, U of H, Purdue, North Carolina, Northwestern and (Texas) A&M.
