Scheelhaase has big spring planned
It's hard to imagine a more successful junior year than the one that Kansas City Rockhurst four-star athlete Nathan Scheelhaase has enjoyed. Aside from offers from programs like Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Stanford among others he also collected the vaunted Simone award given to Kansas City's top player along with the Missouri Gatorade player of the year award.
The craziest thing about all of this is that in the long history of the Simone award and all of the great players to come from the Kansas City area Scheelhaase is the first junior to ever win the award.
However, at the end of the day Scheelhaase was his team's quarterback and had one goal in mind, a goal he reached.
"My season went real well, obviously we got the big goal and won the state championship, and I stayed healthy," Scheelhaase said. "I thought I did well for it being the first year of having the reins as quarterback all to myself. I started off and made some mistakes but for what everyone was saying, you know it was just being aware of the pressure."
