Plantation cornerback has five offers
Lauderhill (Fla.) Plantation cornerback Josh Robinson already has five offers to his credit and is easy to see why. The 5-foot-10 178-pound defensive back has shown top notch athleticism on the football field and on the track and will be a fast rising name in the coming months.
Among Robinson's early offers are South Carolina, Kentucky, South Florida and Indiana.
"South Carolina, they've been talking to me a lot," he said. "Indiana they've been writing a lot. They really want me to come up and visit. I've had a lot of interest from them lately."
The most recent offer that Robinson has picked up is the University of Tennessee.
"Tennessee is a new edition," he said. "Tennessee offered me it had to be like two or three weeks ago. They sent me a letter to my house. I was excited. Tennessee they've got a football fanatics up there. They love football. I was seeing about their campus and I was seeing about trying to make a visit up there. I'm trying to see which five schools I'm going to visit."
Robinson has some research to do before he starts narrowing things down and a lot of that research may have to be done on fall Saturdays in front of the TV set.
"I wasn't watching much college ball this year," he said. "That's something my brother already talked to me about. I gotta pay attention to everything so I really gotta examine them."
Robinson is joined in his high school secondary by Rivals100 athlete Brandon McGee and highly touted safety prospect Vladimir Emilien. The three make up a secondary that is as talented as any in the Southeast.
Currently, Robinson is running track where he competes on a daily basis with McGee.
"We've been racing a lot especially at the meets we love racing each other," he said. "We only raced against each other three times. I won twice and he beat me once."
Robinson runs the 100, 200 and 4x100 events in track and runs them at a high level. He has been clocked at a 10.52 in the 100 and a 21.1 in the 200 so far this season. But Robinson's first love is football.
"I love playing some football anytime," he said.
