Auburn offers four-star athlete

AuburnSports.com Auburn has scoured the nation in search of playmakers to plug into its new no-huddle, spread offense. One of the latest to pick up an offer from the Tigers is Manassas (Va.) Stonewall Jackson athlete Damien Thigpen.
The 5-foot-8, 170-pound Thigpen, who's kept up with the Tigers on T.V. and the internet, said he's very excited about his seventh scholarship offer.
"They offered me a couple of days ago," said Thigpen. "I was really excited about it because I've liked Auburn for a long time.
"Of course, they had Ronnie Brown and Cadillac and I was always a big fan of them. They kinda led me to liking the team."
Thigpen, who said he runs a 4.34 40-yard dash, has been a standout at running back and cornerback in high school, but could project at several positions on the next level.
