Devils Illustrated has just learned that David Cutcliffe and his staff have earned their first commitment for the 2009 class. Around 7:30 p.m., the Blue Devils picked up a verbal pledge from a 6-foot-4, 235 pound sleeper from the Sunshine State. The versatile tight end becomes Duke's first pledge less than two weeks after receiving his official handwritten offer from the Durham, N.C., based school.
