Three friends take the Boyd-Heastie 'bus'
MORGANTOWN--Prominent at Saturday's Gold-Blue scrimmage at Milan Puskar Stadium was the T-shirt that read "Future West Virginia Football . . . Boyd-Heastie."
"Boyd-Heastie" is the all-star battery that Mountaineer fans hope will balance an already potent offense beginning as early, perhaps, as 2009.
Wearing those T-shirts on the sidelines and in and around the stadium were Tajh Boyd, who threw for more than 2,000 yards as a junior quarterback for Bill Dee at Hampton (Va.) Phoebus as a junior and receiver Logan Heastie, probably the best receiver in the state from coach Pete Gale's Chesapeake Great Bridge.
