Hawkeyes get late addition to 2008 class
The Hawkeyes may have done it again. Just as they added Derrell Johnson-Koulianos well after signing day in 2006, the Iowa coaching staff has found a late addition to the 2008 recruiting class in New Jersey wide receiver Matt Marshall, who verbally committed after his official visit to Iowa City this week.
The 6-foot-2, 203-pound Marshall will make it official tomorrow when he signs a national letter of intent with the Hawkeyes. The New Jersey wide receiver was still on the market this late because he was waiting on a qualifying SAT score, which he recently received.
Once he was qualified academically, Marshall made official visits to Arkansas and North Carolina, but it was at Iowa where he felt at home and plans to play wide receiver for the Hawkeyes.
