Cole was one of the top overall athletes out of Mississippi in 2008 and he didn't waste any time committing to the Tigers, giving Auburn his pledge back in March. Cole had a personal bond with then-Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp. After Muschamp left for Texas, Cole still stayed firmly committed.
